The standing lamb suggests the Lamb of God as triumphant, risen. He carries the resurrection banner on a cruciform standard, signifying victory over the cross (sin and death.) The pendant itself represents the Body of Christ, the church, displayed proudly in the Savior's hand. Here, the lamb reflects many colors, representing all peoples gathered around the throne offering worship.

"In a loud voice they sang: 'Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise.'"
(Revelation 5:12)

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
(Matthew 5:10)

Saint Paul's amid the flames during the Nazi air-raid of December 29th, 1940. Although some dome timbers caught fire, no serious damage was caused to the cathedral. All around, chaos and destruction, yet the cross still stands. A vivid picture of the Church amid persecution and suffering.
